Networking german and american anarchists
« on: January 11, 2012, 11:56:53 AM »
Hi,

I´m organized in an anarchist-syndicalist group and some more informal networks and projects in Germany. I`m going to visit different cities in the US from february to april and the groups I`m involved in and me personally are very interested in finding new contacts all over the world, meet other anarchists, find out how they are organized, what are there aims, which problems they fight and all in all mybe found a basement for networking.

So my question is, is any of you organized or just living in the following cities or knows a place that is good to find contact to other anarchists?

The cities I will visit are Columbus, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, L.A. and San Francisco.

Would be cool, if you can help me

Greetings anarchoente,

What anarchist-syndicalist group are you in?  I'm in the Workers Solidarity Alliance, we have locals in a few of those cities and we are very interested in making connections with folks in the movement from around the globe.  I'ma post up some links to various organizations and also contact info for WSA.

http://www.workersolidarity.org:  The official WSA website
http://www.anewworldinourhearts.net:  A larger network of north american class-struggle anarchist organizations.

Cheers,
Ben S

Hi Ben S,

I´m organized in the Anarcho-Syndikalistische Jugend-Leipzig. It was founded by some young members of the FAU, the anarchist union the Germany, but is a independent organisation now.

I don´t know, do you already have contacts to the FAU?

Anarchoente,

Cool, seems like you've gotten in touch with the CS.  I hadn't heard of your organization before, sounds really great.  I'm pretty sure we have some contact with the FAU, but I'm not positive.  I  think folks in North America are keen to hear about the movement in Germany.

Have a great trip!

Solidarity,
Ben

Sorry, I won't be of any help here.

For the record, WSA has been in contact with the I_FAUD and then FAU since the 1970s.
At this point, our friends go back to the 1970s and 1980s generation of FAU militants. Though, from time to time, we get information and share information will FAU International Secretaries.
For many years, WSA and FAU had a very close working and lots of personal relations/ships.
